Well, it's not that big of a deal really.
I have FL permit.
My non resident NH just arrived today.
I thought it would add some states to my list of "allowed", but guess not :uhoh:

Anyone see an advantage to having a NH out of state permit, granted I have FL resident CCW?

Big Benefit for Me

As a Vermont resident, I can't carry anywhere else. There are no states that recognize Vermont residency as a valid carry permit. So tomorrow I am sending my application for a NH non resident license in.

Any idea on how long it will take to get the license in the mail? How long did it take you to get yours after you mailed it in?

While we're talking about reciprocity, how come so many states recognize Alaska's permit? Is it really tough to get an Alaska permit?

Just curious.

4 weeks.

But it required a photocopy of my FL license. I don't know if they issue one, if you don't already have one from your home state.

I think I checked a while ago and found that Alaska does not issue non-res permits.

I was surprised at how long my NH non-res permit took to arive. My resident WA license took only about 2 weeks (in a very liberal county). The non-res NH permit took almost 2 months. Looking on the permit, the valid-date was more than a month before it was received in the mail... almost as if they held onto it for as long as possible before putting it in the mail. I am surprised, coming from the "Live Free or Die" state.

I am also very happy to have received my NH permit recently.

yea, mine is too... issued on 09-22-2007. arrived today: 10-19-2007. But I'm sure it took 4, maybe 5 weeks. strange.

I believe you are eligible for a PA LTCF. NH + PA gives you a fair amount of coverage.

You are correct. I mailed my PA LTC application this afternoon. I'm looking forward to receiving them both (NH and PA).

Thanks all for the info.

I do have the FL as well, which covers NH, but since I live in MAINE and close to NH, I have my NH CCW.
So if I get pulled over in NH, there is no question!

It sounds like NH is slipping on the non-res permits. When I was a Mass resident I got mine in five business days.
