I got lucky and the poi was pretty well centered for me with the 55gr fedral sp's. Shot like 3 inches high though at 50 yards. Which is fine with me too . I just like the square top and brass of that other sight vs the round bead that cz offers. Can't wait to hear how yours shoots.
Open sights never fog up in a rain shower... Just sayin.you guys and your open sights.....
Even if I don't use often, I just like to have them for fun. I can't see worth a crap so 50 yards is all I'm good for, Accurately....target shooting anyways. I can do a pie plate at 100 though. But that's why I hunt with scopes on my rifles. I'd feel like a real peice of crap wounding something because I'm trying to prove myself and use iron sights .you guys and your open sights.....
Yup i missed out one day on a nice buck, I could not see the deer in the old weaver 4x on my fn. mauser. if i had sights i could have got him. here in new York we get random snow showers and scope caps are a must. I leave my rifle in the truck over night to help with fogging up. none of that with sights lol.
Hate the added expense, but this is true for all of my hunting guns now.
even with peeps I can either see the target or the front sight, not both...and its not fuzzy target, or fuzzy front sight, its colored blur, or no front sight.
i dont have the best eyes the were 20/10 before i was 12, i got a harsh cleaner in my eyes and messed the up. burnt off 3 or 4 layers of my cornea and burned my retina. but sights are still good to use i have a bad astigmatism in both eyes. the shooting coach for the air rifle team said i had no dominant eye, maybe why i can shoot right and left handed the same.
Ive got bad astigmatism in my right eye, and am heavily right eye dominant...Ive always kinda wondered if that was the issue. Im comfortable shooting left handed, but with opens my right eye takes over.
