Ididn't see the entire piece, I live in Deerfield Beach, there is a rallye going on to ban assault rifles again, they said something about getting a partial ban and trying to get the "old", "ban", back,I'll add to this later as more news comes in.
 
Are they using the term assault rifles? They are 74 years too late and the current regulations are working fine.
 
Yes they were talking about the recent rise in police officers shot by AK's, they had some speakers who claim to be LEO's, who are in favor of a complete ban.

LOL. There are too many people in this country who aren't American citizens. That has been established for quite some time now. Unfortunately, we as citizens don't have enough resolve to actually get something done concerning this issue. Trust me, I am not pointing fingers at everyone else. I am just as much to blame as everyone else.

I am glad that we are more dedicated to the right to bear arms. However, if we don't do something about the illegal alien problem in this country, we will lose the means to provide ourselves with the arms we are so dedicated in protecting.


I used to live in Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton shortly after that. There is certainly no shortage of Northeast Liberals. I am sure the news stations are no exception.

The problem is not Florida resident's who lack American citizenship.Most of these are anti-Castro Cubans,the vast majority of whom are strongly pro-gun.
It's all those ex- New Yorkers and New Jerseyites,90 percent of whom are brainwashed Democrats who are violently anti-gun.These sheep are
represented in Congress by flaming liberals like Robert Wexler and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.
Here in lies the problem in South Forida.Palm Beach,Broward, and to a lesser extent Dade County is probably the most liberal area on the east coast, south of Washington D.C.
The largest Jewish population in the U.S. outside of the NYC Metro area lives here.Jewish folks tend to be very anti-gun.All 3 counties have large black populations.They tend not to be very gun friendly either.
Put it all together with a vicious anti-gun local media and the result is a ceaseless barrage of guns are evil rhetoric and so-called "we must overcome the devil,the NRA" demonstrations.
 
Maybe the NY/NJ jews are anti-gun, but that's because of the environment they lived in. I thought jews overall were pretty pro-gun, hence the JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership). Seems most jews would remember their people being disarmed and slaughtered by Hitler and the Holocaust stuff. JPFO claims to be America's most aggressive defender of firearm ownership.

They have a point. If they ban the rifles again all the BG's will turn them in and nobody will be shot with a evil assault rifle. :rolleyes: What ever "assualt" rifle means.
 
This is a campaign by the liberal FtLauderdale paper, and came out of a shooting where some gang banger (who could not legally own a gun anyway) killed a Broward deputy.
Sad, but things happen.
Now the ultra liberal South Florida DhimmiCrats, blacks and hispanics are pushing this silly stuff.
It won't fly in the Florida legislature, and it won't fly in DC.

This Ticks Me Off!

I bought vacant land in Cape Coral Florida. It is on a salt water canal and thats where i plan to build my dream home in 10 years.
I have been living in communist New Jersey all my life.
The thing that scares me the most.... is all the liberals from the north moving down to Florida and trying pass the same BS laws about gun control that we have here in NJ.
By the time i can finally have the money to build my dream home and move.. i still won't be able to own an AK or an AR with the evil features. :cuss::cuss::banghead:

Sadly,in most surveys,over 75 percent of Jewish America,not just Metro NYC is primarily anti-gun,disarm,take away the firearms,"Mr and Mrs.America ,if I could get 51 votes in the U.S.Senate,Diane Feinstein",type Jewish.
And full disclosure, in a enormous cliche,my best friend,one brother -in -law and one son-in-law are Jewish.

The Hispanics you are talking about may be from Central America,Mexico or the D.R., but are not Cubans.
Cubans are the most pro-gun group of exiles in the entire U.S. of A.
My wife is a Cuban,half my co-workers are Cuban and the majority of my friends are Cuban.Most ,if not all have CCW permits.
Is this now clear?
And another thing, my 5 children(half Cuban?)are all pro-gun and are teaching my 18 grandchildren(1/4 Cuban?)to be the same.Stereotyping can be a painful thing.

Chief Timoney has been on a crusade against civilian AR's and AK's for about two years now. He keeps claiming that civilian AK's were "banned" 1994-2004, and were "legalized" in late 2004, which is baloney (they were just as legal to manufacture, import, sell, and possess in 1997 or 2002 as they are now). He keeps doing interviews with gullible reporters from national news organizations, about once a month or so.

FWIW, the initial officer who was murdered was shot with a Norinco MAK-90, which would have been imported in the late '80s or early '90s, IIRC.

I'm a South Florida Jew.... trust me, I have plenty of guns. More than I need for sure.

I don't know that any REAL statistics exist on this topic. I second Jorg's request for a cite.

Again though, what does religion have to do with this? Sure there are Jewish in DB, but there are also members of all other religions I'd guess as well.
