Just ordered a DW PT-C 10mm bobtail!!!!

Full-size frame, commander length slide, with the optional ed brown bobtail mainspring housing.
I can't wait!!!

But its so darned short! You're buying the 10mm Auto for the additional velocity/power edge, right? The velocity loss may not be too pronounced, but I personally prefer a full-length barrel/slide, especially in the 10mm automatic cartridge. This is soley for extracting the most from the beast.

But I don't like 5" barrels, unless they're revolvers, and I prefer less than 4", normally unless the gun would be unmanageable.

I'd like to have a Commander sized 10mm and a longslide 10mm for ccw and range and hunting work. I think this would be a good 2 gun combo.

I have been looking into a 10mm 1911 but have not bought one yet.
I just ordered a DW in 9mm, and now that you let me know about this commander size 10mm with a bob tail, it looks like I'm going to have to order this one. Thanks for letting me know that this gun was out there.
