For a range gun it will be fine. For serious use, I'd definitely look elsewhere. For $250 more though, you could have had a Colt.

Might not be a Colt...but it will be reliable and you will never wear it out.

I have some that are not Colt...THOUSANDS of rounds through them, one is over 25yrs old and none has ever missed a beat.

Now, if it were made by Taurus...that would bring on more talk.

Same gun as the Bushmaster Carbon 15. It has some proprietary parts that are not standard/milspec. Upgrading will be slightly different than an AR15. It should be a good range plinking gun.

Windham has the same owner and employees that used to own/operate Bushmaster, before being sold.

These guys put out a well built AR.

My brother has the same rifle (though he spent quite a bit more on it) and it has served him vary well for three years and thousands of rounds.

I know people who own and like the 1-4x version of that scope, but haven't seen the 3-9x version yet in use. For $150, I doubt you'll find much better. Generally for lower end zoom scopes, they are pretty solid from 3x all the way to 6x or 7x. It is when they zoom all the way in that the eye box starts getting real tight. Move a little and suddenly you see nothing.

ordered an ar

I have a Windham and I am very pleased at the accuracy of this weapon I can shoot under an 1/2" at 110 meters using a vmax 50 gr you will be well pleased

I've got the 1-4 X version of that scope and it's great. Side to side with the Burris and the Nikon, the Bushnell was clearer and brighter. I wouldn't want the 3-9 on an M4gery. 1-4 is much more appropriate.
