Just got back from my LGS with my new SAR B6c (CZ 75 compact clone).

In DA the trigger is long but almost no creep and the reset is also long, in SA the trigger is short and crisp. The grip side panels are fairly smooth with slightly better serrations on the back strap and front and a good trigger guard undercut. The right side safety is is quite tactile and overall the pistol is tight, well made and had been lubed at the factory. Came with the extra 13 round mag as well as the usual obligatory items and the overall weight is 25.2 oz empty.

I will say if you have serious arthritis or have trouble racking a 1911 this is NOT the pistol for you.

Nice!
Tanfoglio also makes a pistol like that one in two versions: with thumb frame safety (F model) or with decocker/safety on the slide (R model).

Yeah, this is the heaviest slide rack I've ever encountered, almost brutal, even with gloves it hurts. It's made worse by the high frame walls leaving little area on the serrations to hold onto. This is going to take some getting used to......... So far though it's the only drawback I've found.

I have seen after market devices that can be put on a slide to make it easier to rack, but I think all were for striker slides, not hammer fired. I'll have to look them up again.
The B6C is a decent gun. For the money, the B6C is a good buy. There's a company called Lucky Snipe that sells Sar mags. They have them on sale right now.

I bought one of the compact SAR's, liked it a lot, traded it towards a grail gun, and bought another. The new one has been great. Never had a malfunction out of either one. Good sights, good trigger, good ergos (for me).

Since the slide rides inside the rails, it's thinner and not as easy to grip. I really like my CZ clones, but they're not the easiest to rack. Not what I would call hard, but you have to pay attention.

Mine has replaced my G26 for road trips. I've shot them both a lot and definitely prefer the SAR. I've always been a sucker for the CZ75 trigger and ergos.

Nice choice! You'll get used to racking the slide. It just takes practice. :)

It's a licensed copy of Tanfoglio, but of a lower quality. The original Force series were not so good to begin with and this handgun is not an exception.
Sounds like you don't own one then ... LOL! And I'd agree with you ... but then we both would be wrong ...

I bought one on a whim and own original CZs. My SAR B6C has been perfect! No failures in any regard and very accurate! The trigger pull out of the box is outstanding too! Everyone who tries it is impressed.

My finger and thumb are raw from racking it just a few times. Time to build up some calluses......... :)

I have the full size B6. It fits my hand very well, has had no problems at all, and is accurate as well. The stock trigger was pretty good but I made it better by installing a spring kit. It is a little harder to rack than my other semi-autos due to it's smaller area to grip. At a little over $300 locally I think it was a bargain.

I don't find the CZ's to be that hard to rack, but I've had a lot of practice over the years. The compact seems to have substantially less area to grab onto.

I have a small 45acp with a tight spring and some moron sanded down the grip serrations. The easiest way to rack it is to EXTREMELY CAREFULLY grip the very front of the slide so I can get a little pit of purchase around the front edge of the slide with my thumb and finger. If you are EXTREMELY CAREFUL you can do this without getting any of your digits actually in front of the barrel.

I beg to disagree. The Tanfoglio Force was and still is one of the best if not the best entry level DA/SA pistol. Also one of the few remaining DA/SA pistols with polymer frame. Probably the only one, together with the Beretta Px4, that can have a slide decocker/safety.
It was and still is a very good pistol for beginners and for female hands (thin grips).

Due to the lighter slide, compared to the full size model, it probably has a havier recoil spring and maybe a very tight barrel/slide lockup.

Cool! It’s nice to see you’re happy with your Sarzilmaz, that seems to be a consistent reaction when folks buy their stuff.

I haven’t seen one, they aren’t on the kosher list here in Ca. (Safety of course, all for the children!) Hopefully that dumb DOJ list gets axed and we can buy guns like yours.

I do have a few CZ’s, those are okey dokey to buy here. The Compact CZ 9mm’s are tougher to rack than most semi autos sometimes, the RAMI is, too.

You may need to do a “palm over” slide rack rather than a “slingshot.”

Start by putting the gun in the strong hand ( I am right handed).

IMG_1575.jpeg IMG_1618.jpeg

Weak hand palm goes over the top, pinching the rear of the slide with your finger and thumb. (Top pic is the slide grasp, bottom is the entire grasp.)

Now you push forward with the shooting hand while pulling back with the hand top on the slide. If you have an empty magazine in the mag well it will lock open. If not, you push up on slide lock with the thumb to hold the slide open.

To rack it after you have a loaded mag inserted, you can to the same thing. (Keep hands from in front of the muzzle!). If you are unloading and pulling a live round out of the chamber, drop the magazine and make room under your weak hand palm for the cartridge to pop out. :)

Stay safe.

Back in the days when I was working at a gun shop (some 15 years ago) we have sold several compact models. Customers were complaining about magazine feed issues and barrel locking lugs peening from relatively low round count. This and the rather sloppy fit left a bad taste in my mouth, especially compared to the all steel pistols that Tanfoglio offers. It's not a huge problem, but still... In all fairness, I have not handled more recently made Force, so the quality might have improved. As for the Turkish guns - my only problem with them is the constant QC problems - when they are good, they are good, but when they are bad... Seen my fair share of subpar pistols and shotguns, made by well known Turkish companies, so I tend to steer away from them whenever possible. At the end the old saying still stands valid - you get what you pay for.

I agree, the Tanfogio/Witness guns are a great starter gun, especially in the all steel versions.

I've had zero issues with my Sar and Canik guns, and none of the other people I know with Sar, Canik, and Girsan had had any issues at all. The machine work seems to be at Tanfoglio level or better. I haven't had a single issue on my Tanfoglio made guns either, which range in age from about 33 years ago to about 2018 or so, once a couple of the recoil springs were replaced on surplus guns. My Sar 2000 seems very well made, and better finished than my friend's SS CZ-75B which shoots great but isn't as pretty as the Sar is. I'll probably be buying a Girsan Regard one of these days, I like the Beretta 92 type guns a lot and my friend's shoots every bit as well as the "real" 92FS's we shot at the same time. I already have a Taurus PT-92. I've had a lot of good luck with cheap guns, better many times than high dollar ones.

Perhaps you get what you pay for, but you can pay with knowledge and patience in addition to cash. Connections some in handy, too. There are lots of ways to pay for things.

I see it this way, either you honestly believe what you're espousing is true (it's not) or you're flat out lying for some unknown reason. Which means I'll take whatever you say with a block of salt......., at minimum.

I've had my SAR9 for nearly two years now and love it which is why I didn't hesitate to buy the B6c. I also use the palm over with some but with this one it's just as tough on the digits......... I just have to get used to it.

New gun, new springs, even new places to rub on your hands…in time all should smooth out (and toughen up ;)).

Let us know how it shoots for you, and maybe even compare it to your SAR9, when you get a chance to give it some exercise at the range.

Stay safe.

Relax a little bit, OK? It's a cheap Turkish pistol we are discussing, not your first born child... Take it easy.

That's not the way you're coming across, you've been badmouthing Turkish made firearms since I first started reading your posts here. Maybe change your delivery, be more specific......... Pretty sure most here knows there are cheap, fly by night Turkish manufacturers and they should avoid them at all costs. The established manufacturers on the other hand build quality firearms without "constant QC problems" as you claimed. So I stand by my statement and by the way, I'm quite relaxed sitting here enjoying my morning coffee.

If all else fails get a Pachmayer slide rack assist block. It is available on Amazon and is a great range accessory for just about any semi-auto. my slide gripping thumb is numb and weak from nerve damage and this gadget is very handy in my case.
