Just picked up Rossi matched set

I just picked up a rossi matched youth pair 22LR/410 at Dicks. Was on sale for $129 and i had a $30 Dicks reward cert, so i got it for $99.

Thought it was a good deal.

I bought it for my son, however i may want to use the .410 for small pest around the house.

However the stock is a little short.

Can i switch it to the full size stock, or maybe add a pad to the stock?

Probably not. Seeing howas I work there, lemme point out something--the frame is much smaller than just about any other Rossi (or any othe) single-shot breakdown anything. It was meant to be a youth gun (i.e. shorter length of pull for smaller individuals). If you can find some type of pad that adds about......oh.....6 inches or so, you may be able to use it yourself...or clamp some cheap "tactical laser" onto the stock and fire it "from the hip"--not to be cheesy, but so that you can aim (I've found them to be quite short---much too short for me to aim when it's against my shoulder). HTH.

i would go and get a butler creek small size slip on pad for about 8 bucks. these arent just good at taking recoil, but are excellent for adding LOP. i put one on a Mosin 38, and not only does my shoulder thank me, but i dont' have that weird 90 degree angle in my shooting elbow , and then 90 degrees back the other way , with my wrist ,on that fat buttstock wrist they have on those stocks.

Well i happen to be a smaller person myself. Putting it to my shoulder i think i would need maybe a inch or 2 to be good.

I see that rossi sells a recoil pad.

Eightball since you work there, how thick is the pad and does it fit on the youth model.
