Well, I just placed my one-per-year order with Kahr through their instructor discount program. They have the best discount for NRA instructors that I know of. I had placed an order for the Baby Desert Eagle III 45 Compact, but the expected ship date was 4-6 weeks...and who knows what that really means? So I cancelled that order and ordered something that will end up being much more useful. I order a PM9 with night sights. It'll be a little brother to my P45 with night sights. I figure it'll be easy to carry no matter how I may be dressed. I know there's much discussion over whether the PM9 is worth that much more than the CM9, but on the instructor program that difference in price is only $120. For that $120 you get the polygonal rifling, non MIM parts, 3 magazines vs 1, and the ability to go with night sights, which I did. The 2 extra magazines alone make up for half of that difference in price, and the other features (in my mind) are worth the extra $60. Done deal. On order. Total including shipping on the discount program was $505. How can you beat that? I briefly contemplated going with the all steel MK9 (same price), but decided that if I'm going to carry a teeny tiny 9mm pocket pistol, the extra 10 ounces of weight (in other words, almost twice as heavy as the PM9) wasn't worth it. I wouldn't be using either as a range gun, all steel or not. :) So I'm psyched to be adding one to the stable.

A few years back I also used the NRA Instructor program to purchase a PM9. Great deal on a great gun. Mine came in to my LGS about three weeks. Get over to the Kahrtalk forum as there is a ton to learn from that great group of people.

I look forward to seeing you over there.

Yep, I've been over there....not recently, but did all the prep stuff on my P45 when I first got it. That gun has been rock solid. Really a nice carry gun. A little harder to shoot accurately than a 1911, but the gun is super accurate......the shooter....varies. :) I do ok, though.
