Frist let me say that I am a long time Kahr fan. I bought my first Kahr about 10 years ago, it was an E-9 and I loved it. For some reason I sold it but then I bought a K-9. I bought another K-9 just because I wanted a back up to my first one. The K-9 is my all time favorite handgun. I have owned probably 50-60 handguns and the Kahr K-9 is still my fav.
The P-9 was brand new. I field stripped it and wiped all the oil off and cleaned it. I then lubed it with some grease and was good to go. I shot about 150rds with no jams at all. The problem I was having was the trigger was not resetting after some of the shots. If I would wait, I would hear the faint click and knew the trigger had reset. If I pulled the trigger all the way back and let it flick forward, it would reset as well. Not sure what the problem is but I am not happy with this in a new gun.
Also, it shot low and to the left and all my other Kahrs have always shot dead on. I am not impressed with the feedramp finish either. It looks like someone carved it with a pocket knife. The rest of the slide is fine but these three problems are not what I expect of my favorite gun company. I love the K-9 but the P-9 is not as well made I am starting to think.
