looking for secret recipies for .300 win mag. Been reloading for a few yrs now for my .45/70 and 8mm turk. But looking for some recommendations of a good boat tail round vice a flat tail. Want to beef up my stuff. If anyone knows a company that provides a boat tail bullet please let me know. Looking forward to hearing on some secret recipies if anyone got one to share. It will save me trouble of cooking up my own and saving me a few hundred rnds of trying my own.

180 grain Nosler Protected Point Partition and Reloader 22 powder. Consult loading manuals for charge weights. makes a good all around load for the .300 WM. The Partition is a flat base bullet, but it shoots flat and hits very hard. As far as boattail bullets go, I think the best one for the higher velocities of the .300 WM would be the 180 grain Nosler Accubond with Re 22.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

thank all for the inputs, I think i will try a 180 gr FMJ, with a IMR 4198 powder. I prefer this powder cause of the extreme climate changes up here in northern michigan. Plus I reload a couple hundred at a time and may store it for a year before i get an itchy finger. But I do appreciate the inputs, thank you all for the help!;)

168gr sierra hpbt match 73gr IMR4350 winchester mag primer seat bullet .010 off of lands. This combo produces sub1/2" groups out of my McMillan sniper.

There just possibly might be a reason why IMR does not list IMR4198 for use in 300WM with any booooolit.

So why did you ask a question when you had no intention of listening to any of the advice????????????

I certainly will not give you any recommendations based on my 40 years of loading the 300WM, when you are so obviously an expert already.
