Hey guys, I'm sure that more than a few of you have read of me telling how bored I am. Well, I just can't leave well enough alone with my latest 10.5 build. My goal was the build something lightish. I went with Magpul furniture and didn't want a rail. I wanted slim. Well, it turned out that the MagPul SL handguards are slim, but they are tall and I just couldn't get used to it.
So, I went shopping for some free float handguards. I stumbled across a company called STNGR and their sales model is based on direct sales from Texas where they make their stuff. These weren't just inexpensive, but downright cheap for what you get.

This thing is rock solid. It has M-Lok on all 8 surfaces and QD sling holes. There are no sharp angles on it. It's very comfortable. It took me all of 15 minutes to pull my other barrel nut off and install this. The price on it was like $150, but as soon as I signed up to their site, I got a coupon for 15% off. Once you sign up, give it a few minutes for it to hit your email. The first offer was for 10% off and they sent me the coupon, but it kept getting rejected and I was getting aggravated, when the 15% off coupon showed up in my email and that was accepted. They shipped very quickly.
The best part about the install was that you don't have to time anything. Just use the included wrench attached to your torque wrench and torque to 30-60lbs. I went 45.
Anyway, I just never heard of them before and thought others might be interested as well.
