K Frames will be my undoing

I knew Jim Jr's Daddy. Jim Jr. does pretty good work for a Southern Boy... :D

I'm pretty sure you will be pleased when it comes back. ;)

so it's coming right down the road from me 'eh? Good choice. Please make note to advise me of the results as I'm considering throwing a little trade that way myself. I can actually drop off and pick up.

There is a fun story about how 2 Ks and a J are ending up there.
But It is a favor by someone who may not want such to b public.

What I can say is that the Clarks are a VERY nice family.

If their work is as nice as they are, you will b MORE than pleased.

Will you Southern boys quit hogging all the K-frames? Maybe send a few up our way?

Seriously though, I'm happy for those of you that can find these increasingly rare gems, and are also so close to some really good gunsmiths.

As I understand things, Mr. Miculek agrees with you.

I personaly am interested in their .460 Rowland conversions for a Kimber Custom II Target.

P.S. Since Texas has decided to share their hogs with us coon-asses, I feel it necessary to "hog-Up".

Jerry married Jim's little sister.

He doesn't have much choice but to use them

And I am told that Jerry's daughter is kick-butt in 3 gun...loading her 12 gauge like spiderman. Apparently she is already a force to be reckoned with and improving at an amazing rate.

breeding shows

Well hell,

With us southern folk someone is always marryin' someone's sister and the like. Glad to know it's all redneck legit.

Like every other redneck it's more important to me to see how .460 Rowland works.

After all, wives are wives and huntin' is huntin'. Less than an hour ago I was preaching smack in the revolver forum under the 88 magnum post. Believe it?

I don't buy the "Breeding shows" statement,,,

breeding shows

Not true at all,,,
Opportunity, resources, and practice shows.

It's the same thing with a Miss Randy Rogers,,,
Five-time (I believe) Women's National Champion in SASS,,,
After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in marketing she went to work for Glock.

Her Grandfather is Evil Roy,,,
Past National Mens Champion in SASS.

I have met Miss Rogers and was very impressed,,,
She is a very talented and hard working young woman,,,
Truly, she is a role model for what someone can do if they practice enough.

But do you really think that Randy would have gotten as far as she did,,,
Had she not had the backing (financial and mentor) provided by her grandfather?

Same with JM's daughter,,,
Look at the tremendous advantage she starts with,,,
The premier revolver marksman in the US as her coach and mentor,,,
Plus all the ammunition she can possibly need to practice her skills to a professional level.

She still has to work and develop the skills he can teach,,,
So beyond the work/practice ethic he can impart,,,
"breeding" has nothing to do with it at all.

So I cry B-S on "breeding shows".

If that were true,,,
Wolfgang Van Halen would be a legitimate rock star.

So the moral of the story is:

Admission for Two = $20

Bag of Pecans = $10

Daughter finding a Model 14 in 85% + condition for $425 + admission = $455 for a really good gun (for some a bucketlist gun).

Bring two sets of eyes and hold out for that once in a lifetime deal, and don't be cheap about the overpriced fair food.

Sorry Old Dog,

A buddy called me from a local gun store today. Said there was a Model 15-3 at a relatively expensive store at a shockingly low price of $250.

He asked them to hold it for me.

Of course I bought it. It was only 250 bucks.

So despite your polite request to let some K-Frames make there way north...sorry.

Experience suggests that I just can't do it.

:banghead:

Will you Southern boys quit hogging all the K-frames? Maybe send a few up our way?

I export them from Minnesota every chance I get and keep a stock pile in NC, brought a model 13-2 back on my last trip from up north. We'll eventually migrate them to our retirement in WI in 20 years ;)

Darn K-Frames, I had to quit drinking and cut back on smoking to afford that nasty habit. I purchased two Model 10-5 snubs this month, $380 perfect mint almost looks unfired, second for $240... second has rust pitting, shoots like a dream and is being carried daily as is.

Here's one of the police trade in guns that Bud's was selling for $269. It came from the Victoria Australia police dept. Loads of holster wear and beat up grips. It's a model 10-8. I traced the serial number to 1982. Since this photo I've put a set of Pacmayr gripper grips on the thing. I love this gun.
