I had been reading in some knife forums about how the new Ka-Bar-licensed, Bob Dozier designed, folding hunter was a "best buy" and "best folder for under $20." So I ordered one.
The knife showed up today, and the reviews were accurate. This is a very solid, well-made lockback folder, with AUS8A steel (which I happen to like a lot, even though it isn't the very latest and greatest). The overall quality, and fit and finish, are about what you'd expect from a Spyderco that costs twice as much, and I like my Spydercos.
The blade is 3" long with a hollow grind, and it was hair-popping sharp out of the box. But it's also a relatively thick blade, and it seems designed for serious cutting chores. The lock itself seems very solid and positive.
Bottom line: you can find this kind of quality all day long for $40 or $50, but for $20 this thing is a real steal. The link to A. G. Russell is:

I also read somewhere that it's a bit cheaper at midwayusa, but I didn't check that out.
