Does anyone have any experience with one of these, I have a Mora 760 for light cutting, but Im looking for something for heavier cutting and chopping. Thanks:)

Howdy-

I've got the larger KaBar Heavy Bowie and really love it. I've got quite a lot of steel (an addiction) but I very much enjoy this one. All of my blades are meant for woods duty, they're all users.

The full flat grind on these makes the edge very easy to work with, despite the 1/4" thickness. It also, for some reason, seems to feel lighter in the hand than a knife that size ought to. It will carve well, it will baton reliably, and it will chop excellently.

Overall a great blade that I've beaten the snot out of. Certainly not a shabby answer to the 'if I had just one knife' question, though I always have a 4" belt knife around no matter what. (This one usually rides in/on the pack.

Hope that's helpful!
