If you load for the M110, I'd like to hear from you. I'm just now starting to load for it myself. Just did some 168gr loads:

CCI #34.
41gr of Varget. (although I did load some at 35.5, 36.5, 38.5, and 40)
Trimmed and FL resized.
Outback ADI 308 Win brass.
Cleaned primer pockets really well.
Carefully reamed inside primer pocket.
Cleaned brass really well.
I forgot off the top of my head (but did write it down at home), the neck was resized to I believe the #36 neck bushing.
SMK 168gr BTHP.

I only went to a local range with a max of 200yds. Groups were pretty decent. Most were around 1.5", but occasionally I am getting a complete miss at around 2-2.75" away from other groupings.

I'm very new to rifle reloading. So I kindly ask for your input.
I don't have the chronograph yet. But it should be here soon. I'll report once I get those numbers from it when I can. TYIA.

Question,

I'm looking on Hodgon's website for load data, and notice that the data they have is for a specific barrel length.

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle

Specifically:
(Case: Winchester Twist: 1:12" Primer: Federal 210M, Large Rifle Match Barrel Length: 24" Trim Length: 2.005")

The M110 barrel is of course the 20" barrel and not 24".

Should I stay away from Hodgon's max load data?

I want to add one piece of important info as well. The brass I was using was already once fired brass that I cleaned and prepped myself. (including the annealing) I wonder if the brass itself made the flyers 'fly' out on me the way they did. I do have some brand new Lapua brass, but didn't want to delve into that batch till I had a chance to first work some loads with used brass.

The difference in your barrel length is of no concern.
The data is relevant for all barrel lengths. Just take into consideration that your 4" shorter barrel may show lower velocities.

I wouldn't think you would want to use max data on a gas-operated semi rifle, ever. If you have access to IMR 4064, you might try 42.7 with the 168 Matchking. If you are not experienced with target shooting a semi, the fliers may be on you...

Seems to me that you both are of differing opinions of go, no-go with the load data.

Judgedelta, are you asking if I am just now shooting semi's all together? I wouldn't dare say I'm an expert, but I do okay. I've shot with semi's for years. They're not by any means new to me.

Gotboostvr,
Thank you. I'm sure velocities were far different than posted on the Hodgons website. I should be getting my chrono sometime this week. I will be sure to post as soon as I can get back out to the range.

What I'm hoping for is for someone with this same rifle chiming in on their COAL. Trying to find out how close they are to the lands, how well their loads work in their mags, what exactly they use in their loads (powder, bullet, primers, and cases), etc.

I posed the question to KAC themselves via email. Hope to hear from them directly sometime this week. Fingers crossed.

I don't have a KAC - I do have, and load for, a LMT MWS and a FN SCAR 17, along with a couple of bolt guns (Barrett MRAD and Savage 12) - all 308.

If you prepped the brass consistently, I doubt that is the cause of the fliers. 1.5" groups @ 200 yds is good shooting - and, in a semi-auto. How many filers out of how many shots?

I think what judgedelta was saying was - are you sure you are not the cause of the fliers? We all do this from time to time (more frequently for me :)).

I shy away from max loads in the semi-autos primarily to reduce wear and tear on the rifles.

What question did you pose to KAC? I hesitate to tell manufacturers that I shoot hand loaded ammo in their guns. Most state that their warranty is void if you use hand loaded ammo.

I had a mk11mod0 and sr25 match but never really shot them for groups.
The one five round group I did shoot from the sr25 was 3.5". But then it was shot at 600 yards.

Only load I ever used was sierras accuracy load. 42g r15 and 168g smk lapua brass fed gm primers.

Are you shooting with or without the suppressor?
they definitely put out a lemon every once in a while but most of their rifles shoot great
