Is there a reason why I can't find a cheap aftermarket magazine for the Kahr CW40? I'd like to have something to take to the range, but I don't feel the need to pay $35.00+ for an extra magazine or two. I've seen some ProMags available on Midway USA for under $20, but they are K40 magazines and hold that extra round. One of the customer comments states that the guy bought them for his CW40 and had issues.

Or am I just spoiled on the price of 1911 magazines?

K40 magazines should fit in the CW40. It can't hurt to try a ProMag - you might get lucky and find one that works. ;)

You have no idea the quality that the OEM Kahr mags are. If you have one..just take it apart and put it back togethor once! :D Then youll understand why they are so expensive and no one wants to make them.
Shoot well and god bless

DO NOT USE PROMAG's... JUNQUE....

While I've had more Promags that don't work than do, I've had 100% good results from the 7 Promag Kahr 9mm mags in my CW9. I tried them after reading the good reviews at Midway. The Promag Kahr .40S&W mags got bad reviews at Midway so I haven't tried those.

Very little is universally 100% good or bad in the firearms industry, so don't extrapolate your experience too far.

Thanks for the links guys. I don't know what I'll do, but I'm definitely going to go and shoot the Kahr and make sure it is something I'm going to keep before I drop that kind of money on magazines.
