I love my Kahr P9 because it is lightweight, very concealable and accurate. I have one problem. The trigger pin creeps out of place after shooting several magazine s full of ammunition. What can I do to prevent the trigger pin from creeping out?

i have two p9s and a p40. one of the p9s is a early model and the trigger pin walked out like yours, sent it back to kahr and they fixed it with a small pin that holds the trigger pin in. i think the newer ones have this from the factory. saddlebum

Be glad you only have ONE problem . . . my P9 - make that POS9 - had many problems.

A "walking" trigger pin is fairly common, and mentioned by several people including yours truly back at The Firing Line. A few people solved it by putting a dab of glue at each end of the pin.

If that doesn't work, send it back to Kahr - if you ask them nicely, they should reimburse you for return shipping.

To be fair, complaints about polymer Kahrs seem less common with current production than they were a year or two back, and Kahr DOES try to make things right . . . after several trips back to the factory, Kahr replaced my POS9, which IMHO is the mark of an ethical company trying to do the right thing. But being of the "once burned, twice shy" mindset, I immediately traded the NIB replacement for a Glock 26. The Glock is not as neat and compact a package as my POS9 was, but it has the virtue of actually WORKING.

oddly enough, i traded a glock 26 on my second p9. the firing pin broke on the glock on round #2 ,the guide rod broke on round #86 and the frame cracked at around 300 rounds. glock fixed it after a long stay at the repair center. no more glocks for me. saddlebum

Sorry to hear about your "POS-9" Hank, but mine has been just fine. Yes mine is an early one, and yes the trigger pin creeps out after a couple hundred rounds. I simply just push it back in as I'm too lazy to send it back to Kahr. If I'm in a gunfight where I need to expend more than 200 rounds I'll just take a quick time out to seek cover and push the pin back in. ;)

I sent back my P9 today for repair. Kahr said that they will update some parts on my gun with some new ones. I will hopefully get back my P9 in two weeks or less. How long have others waited to get back their guns Kahr?
