Kahr PM 9 vs. Kahr MK9

Here are the problems with magazines:

1) Some people report problems using the 8-rounders in the CM9. The theory is that the backward pressure on the magazine - basically using it for an extended grip causes the problem. I've used the 8-rounder in my Kahr without any issues.

2) Some mags came from the factory with the spring loaded backwards. Loading the spring upside-down will cause malfunctions. Just check that your spring is right-side up.

3) This third issue is not really a problem with the magazine as it is an issue with the feed ramp extending a tiny bit too far. Some barrels had feed ramps that bumped right up against the follower and under recoil, the feed ramp would tap the plastic follower and break it. I had two followers break and the way they broke - the feed ramp basically knocked a semi-circle out of the follower but neither the magazine nor the gun experienced any malfunctions like FTF

Does this problem with magazines apply to the MK9?

I've read of problems with the extended mags in the MK9, PM9 and CM9. A round will take a nose dive into the ramp and jam.

I've never heard of the MK9 knocking the front out of the mag follower.

Perhaps there are less problems with the MK9 being that is a solid stainless gun?
