I recently got a Kahr PM9, my first polymer handgun. After about 300 rounds,
roughly the break in period, I noticed that on the polymer part of the frame on the top where it contacts the slide there is a rough patch developing in a small section. With this being my first polymer gun, my questions is:
Is this normal or something to be concerned about?
Should i take the dremmel and clean it up? Or just leave it alone?
Any info is appreciated.

Are you referring to what appears to be a section of plastic frame rail on the upper center of the frame? These tend to get roughened, chipped and sometimes even pieces broken off. I will admit it doesn't inspire confidence, but this is not a load bearing part; i.e., the slide does not ride on this section. It actually rides on the steel rails at the rear corners and one thin steel rail on either side of the inside of the frame "dust cover." The plastic rail's main function is to help guide the slide on when you reassemble the gun; you could cut it away completely and the gun will function fine.

FYI

I had a NIB P45 that I sold to my good friend unfired. We went to the range after he bought it and he had 90% failure (jam) rate. I felt horrible but I had never had a chance to shoot it. During a post range strip down I notice the lower was horrible milled and the front dust cover was warped. He returned it to Kahr and they replaced the lower with the same serial number. I would call them.

Like TLH stated, the slide does not ride on the plastic rails of the frame, it is more of a "guide". Kahr Arms make a fine pistol, the polymer they use is not as durable as say a Glock, but this shouldn't be a problem. I would put a tad more oil on the frame rails, that might help some. If you are still worried, they have decent customer service and usually replace part no questions asked.
