Regardless of brand, all guns have some issues, recalls, customers feel the need to tweak or install aftermarket parts, etc.

When an individual does have CS problems it would be very interesting to know the actual communications that went on as well as the circumstances that led up to the falling out between the customer and the manufacturer.

Manufacturers will document complaint returned guns with everything from double charged handloaded ammo still in the cylinder of a returned revolver, to multiple bullets still stuck in the barrels of semi autos.

Whenever I read complaints on this, and other forums, I immediately question what was or could have been the cause, and following that, did the manufacturer tell the owner that problem is not a warranty issue leading to dozens of posts on the internet about poor customer service from XYZ gun manufacturer.

Today's firearm manufacturers are under scrutiny of the gun owning public as well as a bevy lawyers waiting to initiate class action suits if there are multiple instances with a particular manufacturer. If they make a poor product they will soon be out of business.

There is no official "body", that keeps track of that stuff, "340", so I doubt that we would or could ever know the real answer. Plus the majority of gun owners probably don't do much "formal" research, other than look at a picture and price of something they are interested in, much like car buying research.
Guys like most of us, have more than a passing knowledge of guns, where as most folks don't really get that far into it unless they are competing or instructing, or LEO/ Military I would think.
