I can't remember what magazine it was, but I just read a review of Kahr's new T9 pistol, which comes with those wood grips. The review spoke favorably- and especially mentioned the grips. The guy said the grips were very nice and their fit was exceptional.
Has anyone shot this pistol yet? I have not given Kahrs much thought, but those grips really dress up that gun and drew me to that article- now I am somewhat interested in checking one of those out.
I have a set of the Kahr wood grips. The workmanship is great, the grips are very comfortable. The grips are a little thicker than the originals, and the checkering is very sharp. I find them a little less comfortable than the originals for IWB carry, but they are still easily concealed and reasonably comfortable. If you are a fan of wood, and sweating against the grips are not an issue, I highly recommend them.
always wanted to try the wood on my K40, but not sure how good it would look on black matte. Does anybody have photos of wood on the black pistols? I know a ported barrel would add a certain cool:but for that price another C+R could be coming to stay...
I bought the smooth wood grips from Kahr for my MK9, along with the stainless guide rod. I like them, and have no trouble hanging onto them while shooting the gun.
I've got a smooth set for the K9/40. Never used them because they're thicker than the rubber ones. I'll sell them if anybody is interested. They are really nice looking.
I have a K9, but I hesitated for a long time to go with a K40. The K9 comes with Hogue rubber grips, and although the recoil is manageable with the 9mm, I thought the small grip might be a bit unpleasant with the 40 S&W round.
I recently bought a Kahr T40 in stainless with checkered wood grips. Although I have large hands, all the double stack pistols I have feel too fat with wood grips. The single stack Kahr, however, feels great. The gun fits comfortably in my hand, and there's no problem with control or recoil. Plus, it looks great. Clean lines and classic materials.
