hehe.. luckily the one I bought is being worn by a bass-playing punk rock girl from Vancouver.

And I still say they should have been available in babydoll sizes. I could have sold hundreds of them here.

as far as the asian world and sex,,,

in a little town called japan (last time i was there) your cover charge into certain bars covered your sex with the hostesses as well as the "live act" on stage in which you may participate...

unfortunately,,,due to my puritan upbringing,,,that didnt become apparent to me until well AFTER i left the bar

i was wondering why the cover was so high

and they kept wondering why i rejected girl after girl they brought me

(i thought they wanted more $ for the pleasures)

i was gettin' annoyed,,, cause every time they brought me a girl i'd say "no thanks" and the next thing you know here they come with another one

i'm lucky they didn't start bringing me guys to check out

they were really bemused over the whole thing

ahhh, things you look back on and laugh about...

sorry about the side track,,,

:D

I think they should make a kalashnidog for us males out there. I probably speak for all of us when i say I dont want men coming over saying "hey there gorgeous"

The Japanese and many Asians can have a more natural outlook on the private pursuit of personal sensuality -- there isn't necessarily a Western, puritan shame in it, weighted unfairly against females.

Hey Horge. Oh, I'm quite familiar with the Japanese. I lived in Japan for four years (82-86). Actually a very nice place. I just couldn't pass up a legitimate opportunity to link to that particular item. :D

Copyright infringement is copyright infringement, and it doesn't help that Japan is so anti-gun, or else there might have been some possibility of lucrative cooperation between Sanrio and Greywolf.

You can blame their gun laws on none other than the US Govt. We wrote their constitution post-WWII. I knew several Japanese who were serious gun nuts and would have loved the opportunity to fire real weapons.

I got bored and have re-drawn it in Illustrator, and am now only trying to find the same font used. I will not engage in printing or selling anything myself, but can probably find some means to distribute the image file to those interested. You should be able to take the image file to a printer yourself and have them do whatever you want with it (-I have not dealt with clothing printing before, but to my knowledge, it is best to leave it in a layered/color-separated *.ai file so that the print shop can make any needed changes before printing).
[EDITED]
-That is, save the image file onto a floppy disk, and take that to the clothing printer. You will get better results than if you try to print it on a piece of paper and then have them copy it off that.

Um, they may have zero objection to the AK, but are objecting to the infringement of their copyrighted image without being paid any kind of royalty.

Hey. They Hello Kitty thing is theirs. It's their right to say "STOP, or pay us first." I have no problem with that-- intellectual rights are worthwhile.

Okay - - Hold it right there.

I mean,
STOP, huh?

One of the basic tenants of THR is that we do not engage in conspiracy to violate the law. I mean, if somebody wants to say, I break a speed law occasionally, well, that is HIS (or her) confession.

But getting together and conspiring to violate federal law is NOT A GOOD THING. If you guys want to violate copyright law, TAKE IT OFF THR!

I mean, e-mail or to some other means of communication. Nope, not even to PM, not on THR.

The plug is pulled, discussion over. No one takes orders for the prints or garments, no one says, "ME, TOO!" Either order from the copyright holder, get permission to reproduce the image, or stop dealing.

I have no problem erasing posts. The topic can stay open for the time being, for amusement. Please, take this as a serious warning. If you value your participation on THR, either obey the law, or at least keep quiet about your personal violations.

Anyone who wants to make their OWN transfer for personal use from the above image, without offering them for sale to others - - Hey, let your conscience be your guide.

Sincerely,
Johnny Guest

I agree it is copyright infringement, hence the part about me "...not printing or selling anything myself..."--but when I was trying to find the matching font I ran across a lot of unauthorized HelloKitty images on the internet, so I didn't worry too much about creating one more. If you want a shirt made, take the files to a printer and have them make a couple just for you and it is very unlikely you will ever suffer any sort of action for it.
