I'm pretty sure they have gone bankrupt before and been bailed out. They are like the auto industry, they might fail, but they aren't going anywhere.

Aside from this being old news, most people seem to miss the main point of all this.

THe Soviet Union was a communist country. They invented a highly effective, inexpensive weapon. They proceeded to proliferate those weapons, ammo, the machines to make them, blueprints, etc. to basically any left-leaning place/group that could be a good friend to have one day.

The notion that these countries are "copyright infringing" is ridiculous because not only did the USSR have no such thing as a patent, but they also encouraged this proliferation. Now that they're capitalist, they want to make money off it, but have realized, well, they cannot make how much money they probably could had they not spent 40 years giving them away.

Hah, comrade Lenin is rolling in his grave!
