I recently aquired a very nice Kimber 82G target .22, its a CMP gun with the sights that came with it. It doesn't have the notorious scratch on the stock and there's absolutely no rust on it. Its a brand new rifle. I already have a tricked out Ruger 10/22 with a 20'' bull barrel, target trigger, hogue stock. That being said, I am sure the kimber is capable of greater accuracy. Should I keep it or let it go?

CMP is selling them for $495 the last batch and there will most likely never be anymore.
I have one it is a nice rifle and a better shooter than I am. If it was me I'd wait to sell it until after all the CMP's Kimbers have been sold.
Mine is not for sale.

I have one with the scratch and few hadling dings on it, love it although I should steam the dings out and try to repair the scratch. I would hang on to it.

Uhhh....read that to yourself.

Slowly

This reminds me of the guys back in high school in the 60's. They'd dump all kinds of money into their hot rod, and I'd kick their arse with my factory stock GTO that ended up costing less and looked/worked better

If you're in a big yank to get rid of something, I'd dump the less accurate one

What is the "scratch" you guys are talking about?

The Army used to have these rifles, NIB. An inventory was done by SN, and the bags were sliced open, very often leaving scratches on the rifles.
