I have had GREAT diffuculty trying to get even close to being somewhat accurate with the PF-9 and I am considering getting a Kahr CW9 to replace it.

Anyone have any experience with both? Is the Kahr easier and better to shot? I just want to make sure I am making the right decision before I go buy it.

I have a PF-9 and had a PM9. The PF-9 is definitely not easy to shoot, but is accurate for me. The PM9 was easier to shoot and didn't kick as hard as the PF-9. Definitely see if you can shoot a P9 or CW9 before buying.

Cw9

I have a Kahr CW9 and love it. I have had no issues whatsoever with. Not one failure. I have probably put a hundred and fifty rounds through it. I have a keltec p3at. i like it as well, but I think the Kahr is a much better gun. Has a really nice trigger for double action

I can not say which way you should go but if you don't mind, I would like as a question.

What do you mean by "I have had GREAT diffuculty trying to get even close to being somewhat accurate with the PF-9..."?

How far are you trying to shoot and to what degree of accuracy?

I love my PF-9 Kel-tec but it takes some training to get accurate with it. I needed 150 rounds to group at 15 feet. I had to do the same with my Taurus PT-140 too. I like the gun and I accept that a long trigger takes some commitment to get it right. The value of the gun and the really light weight and small size is a perfect ccw so I'll learn to shoot it. Check or KTOG.org as there is a detailed discussion on this very topic (one of the posters has both and describes his experience) and some good pics of the two guns in question together.

Since both are ultra-light, ultra-compact pistols with relatively stout triggers, I can't imagine you'd shoot one much better than the other. That said, I've been able to wring out oretty decent accuracy from my PF-9. It's not goig to compete with my Kimber Stainless Target II or Witness Limited 10mm, but for it's intended purpose it shoots just fine.

I recently go to shoot a firends PF-9 side by side with my P9,I wasn't suprised by the fact I found the Kahr to be superior, what I was suprised with was how good the PF-9 actually was.
For the price it is a very competent piece.I fed it 124 HST,147 HST and 147 Ranger T and it fed eveything reliably,it did have more felt recoil than the Kahr however it is something a reasonably good shooter wouldn't have any difficulty with.I didn't bring any +P hollow points to try but next time we go shooting I might.
I had low expectations but it was a good shooter and like others have said for its intended purpose it would be a nice low budget CCW.
If you get a chance defintely shoot them side by side before making a purchase.

Ive only handled a PF9.. so cant comment on shooting it.
I like the feel of the kahr better.. the weight and balance of the slide feels like it sits easier in my hand.

my CW9 is several thousand rds in, and purely reliable. accurate, extremely concealable and comfy to cary.
plus my wife likes to carry it when if I wear something bigger.
