I just wish they would fold to the side instead of over the top, would make much more sense when it comes to optics. I know when they first came out red dot were still kind of rare but I don't know if there was/is a technical reason why they couldn't be redesign to do since red dots are everywhere now.
I seem to recall a flip to the side mount for the Gen 1s that required some modding of the hand guard. Now that the Gen 2 has a proper pic rail something akin to a red dot mag flip mount should do the trick.I think the only partial solution to that is to use a quick-detach mount so you could easily remove the mount and optic from the gun. That would still be somewhat of a PITA, but would allow you to fold the gun up.
What stores? Where?Any of you guys shot this gun yet? Seen them in the stores and they look nifty.

$550?????AJC in Clute, TX gets them occasionally. They usually have a 40 cal version. I saw a 9mm. Not sure I want to pay $550 right now.

$400-450 is the avg from what I've seen in local gun stores.I'll wait till they are $400 to $450 before I'll plunk down the most money.

For the generation 1 rifles, that is what I saw. For the generation 2 sub2000, I am seeing $550 or so.$400-450 is the avg from what I've seen in local gun stores.
I sold my JRC 9mm. It was a good shooter, but I got a Thureon Defense Carbine so I didn't need it. Now I am trying to figure out what I bought the Thureon instead of just buying a Keltec.I considered the Sub 2000, but I'm not a huge fan on the action and breakdown.
After buying a Just Right Carbine in 9mm I'm glad I did. It's a very simple design and takes glock mags, too.
Can't beat the S2K if you like a lightweight carbine. With the accessories I added to mine, it still comes in below 5 1/2 pounds....I like the light weight and compactness of the Keltec over the other types and the accuracy is good enough.
