And here you go. Pretty. They eliminated the finicky slide stop. Other than that, it should be one potent addition to my concealed carry options. Might end up being my permanent CCW gun.

I hate Kel Tec!

I was all ready to get a P32 or P11, but with the introduction of a perfect in between, I will probably wait for it.

No slide stop eh, must have had too many returns.

I just got a .32 lol, why'd they have to do this to me?

I want one....NOW!!

I was just comparing stats from the Kel-Tec site:

------------P-32--------.3AT

Weight 6.6 oz -------7.2 oz.
Length 5.1" ---------5.2"
Height 3.5" ----------3.5"
Width .75" ----------.77"

So, I guess the same Steel Belt Clip will work for both...

Does anyone have any idea when this model will hit the street?

i just hope it comes from the factory w/ the fluff and buff already done. i have had to polish both p series KT of mine to get them reliable.

Question - is it better to wait till the serial numbers get up there a bit?

I don't like the elimination of the slidestop, but I suppose you'll know it's empty when it just goes "click". Being in a shootout that requires reloading with a mouse gun isn't all that likely either, so I guess I can live with that too.

Not with Kel-Tecs. If anything shows up that needs to be corrected, or if you EVER have a problem, KT will completely update (or fix) your pistol for free.

Are they smaller than a PM9 or Colt Pocket 9?
In mouse gun language, they're MUCH smaller.

A PM9, for example, compares this way:

---------3AT--------PM9
Weight 7.2 oz----14 oz
Length 5.2"-------5.3"
Height 3.5"--------4.0"
Width 0.77"........0.90"

The PM9, however shoots a 9x19 versus a 9x17 round and its width isn't that much greater. However, the extra half inch in height and heavier weight are significant.

I hate Kel Tec!

Me too!!! I was all set to buy two P-32s in the near future. One for me and one for my wife. I guess I'll be waiting now. BTW, I have a P-11 now and absolutely love it. Just need something a tad smaller and .380 is a great compromise.

As for when it will be for sale, Kel-Tec told me the following:

"Also new for this year is the P-3AT .380 cal pistol. It's just a tiny
bit larger than our P-32. Expected ship date is also May at this time. Suggested retail is $305.00 for the "blued" model."

It looks very nice. I decided to look at some figures and users who like the STHP probably won't notice that much more recoil when switching from .32 to .380.

Cal/Grains Velocity Barrel Length
.32/60 970fps 4.0
.380/85 1000fps 3.75

Now users of Corbon ammo or even Winchester SXT will see more of a difference...

Win SXT JHP 95gr 955 fps 3.75" barrel
Corbon Bee Safe 67gr 1300 fps...WOW!
Corbon JHP+P 95gr 1050 fps

No barrel lengths were given for the Corbon Ammo.

I think the SXT would be a good load. I'm kinda scared to shoot the Bee Safe out of such a light gun. :D

Try getting a seacamp 380 anywhere near that price. The 32 are still going for around $600 when the msrp is around $300.I bet you wont be able to touch a seacamp for less that $1500!

"If they make this in a hard chrome version, I'm all over it."

Who are you (we) kidding? We are all over it no matter what!:D

I can't beleive they really made this gun. Kel-Tec just may make a name for itself if it keeps making products like this.

MSRP will be $895. A nice pocket gun for those that have that kind of scratch.
That will kill the Seecamp .380. It's a heavy blowback gun, and for $795 MSRP, the Rohrbaugh R-9 in 9x19 lurks, and it's a locked breech design and right purty at that.

The 3AT is going to own the .380 mouse pistol genre in that caliber just as the P-32 owns it in its caliber. The Rohrbaugh isn't going to have any competition for a while, and I'm not aware of any other 9mm mouser even on the drawing boards.

It's going to be quite a year for the cats who love mouse guns.

All of KT's pistol come in blue, parkerized or chrome so I don't see any reason why the P-3AT will be any exception. I would imagine most of the initial ones will be blue.

No conversion kit for your P-32 though. Since the frame, grip and slide are a little bit bigger, it won't work.

Hmm, I heard about this new .380 several months ago and even after reading all this it still doesn't interest me. I still think I'd much rather buy a Kahr PM9. 9X19 is the only way to go. No slide stop on the new KelTec huh? That's not good.

I always find the comments about being able to send it back to the factory for repairs anytime amusing. What about if it breaks when you really need it? I'd rather have quality and reliability over great customer service.

You mean like the Glocks and ALL the others that break, including Kahrs?

I'd rather have quality, reliability, AND great customer service, thank you very much.... :p
