Kel-Tec P32 opinions?

Bought my 1st generation hard chrome P-32 the year they were introduced.

Never have had any problems with it, although I have been carrying an LCP for several years.

Very popular, right now. I just sold mine, to finance another new gun, and had two offers to drive 150+ miles to buy it (after it was already sold). Never had a problem with mine, but wanted a 9mm, instead.

Like I said, though, if I do get a P32, it's not going to be my primary by any means, or likely carried all that often.

Oh sure... you may say that now... just wait. That little P32 has a way of growing on you. I have always liked the idea, size and concealment available with this type pistol. Never liked a 380 because they have that "pi$$ed off cat held by the tail" attitude. 32acp out of the P32 is very manageable, an extra round, a last shot hold open, whats not to like. My P32 goes everywhere with me, and until I bought mine, I never really found a pistol that gave me everything I wanted. Either they were too big, too heavy, or uncontrollable and unreliable. My P32 is none of those things.

Weblance, the reason it wouldn't be carried very often is because I like a minimum 10 rounds (which is why mag cap bills really turn me into the cat in your story). 10 rounds of 9mm is just a bit heavy though in the pocket of workout clothes held up by a drawstring.

I have bought 3 so far over last few years wife got 1st one. I brought home Then the daughters begin coming of age and #2 and #3 have been taken. They leave my P3AT alone don't like kick of Corbon DPX

I think the P-32 is a great little pistol. Be another one soon as number 3 daughter is coming to that age .

You can pocket carry the P-32 with the 10 round mag. I have done it just to see 10plus 1 in you pocket and almost no weight.

Weblance, the reason it wouldn't be carried very often is because I like a minimum 10 rounds

P32 with factory 10 shot magazine... That is exactly one of the very reasons I bought my P32...the extended magazine feels perfect in your hand, and its not some junk aftermarket... its a MecGar magazine

My wife picked this 1st generation one out and we bought it new years ago. I've really been impressed with it...never any problems and accurate for size.

I've thought about getting one as well but and might someday.

Ya know - seeing pics of people's KT P32's reminded me that the mag catches need to be treated gently. Notice the gap between mag floorplate and bottom of grip...

It's plastic and will wear out with use, especially with slapping in a mag. Always depress and hold the mag release while loading and unloading a mag in the Kel-Tecs. A worn mag catch can cause feeding failures.

I think I have read Kel Tec estimates their pistols are good for 5-6000 rounds before they wear out.
Best part is the lifetime warranty.
Wear it out and they replace it.
Although I currently have 1100 rounds of 32 ACP ammo put back I think it will be a hell of a long time before I shoot it all up.

I have a P32 that is my "around the house" gun. My small going out gun is a S&W 642-1. I've been very happy with the P32, and I am a fan of .32 cartridges (ACP, S&W Long, Magnum, etc.). The P32 is reliable, reasonably accurate (I once shot a 100% on a LE qualification with one, and that included 12 rounds at 25 yards-probably not something I could do again on a bet), very light, pleasant to shoot (much like shooting a .22 LR mini-pistol), hold more rounds than the similar size .380s, and lock open on the last round.

OP, if you want a larger capacity .32, there is always the VZ61, though that probably wouldn't meet your size and weight requirements.

I love mine, ugly little thing that it is. Been my BUG for a good many years. Never a problem with it, and nearly forget that it's there, tapping my behind to make sure it is at times. I shoot Geco ball in mine.

I've had a P32 for a few years now. Absolutely reliable it is what I carry most of the time. I've got S&W 36 and 3913, Glock 29, Kimber Ultra CDP, Kahr PM9 to mention a few...and still this is what goes in my pocket...

Just when I finally convince myself that ther is no pistol out their worth going SBR $200 fed tax, plus gunsmithing fees someone like you post something like that Scorpion.

WHen I handled one at Bragg 30 years ago I thought "hey a "Machine pistol" that makes sense!" The stock was a bit on the short pull side, (though no worse than a MAC 9, 10,or 11 and ADHD kicks in with Lear jet SWAT team on a mid night run with the M 16 and the Ingram gun) but it seemed like a very useful armored vehicle crew man gun. PDW. Of course the Suppressor was attractive as well but there is another one of those expnesive bother some stamps.

OK the Zevon moment indicates I really need to go to bed......

kBob... its an ArmaLaser TR1(Laser only). I posted a review of it when I got it. The only thing I will add to my review is that its a little more sensitive than the Crimson Trace lasers. When handling the pistol, you activate the laser alot more than you realize. Your fingers are naturally in the contact spot, and you will see the laser come on when you arent expecting it. It has held zero for over 300 rounds now, and has been reliable(Ive only had it a couple months so far)

As it happens, the form 1 on my VZ61 went in the mail earlier in the month. I got the adapter for the stock off the EE on AR15.com, and I have a couple of the stocks. When the form 1 comes back (probably in July), I'll get the adapter attached and stick my stock on. I have always been fascinated with the VZ61 since I first discovered it in a "Weapons of the World" type book when I was about 13, and this is the closest I will ever get to owning the real thing.
