Just got a new in box P32, got it home and disassembled it. I immediately noticed a sharp groove worn in the top rear part of the frame on the side opposite the ejector. Also, there is what appears to be a piece at the front top edge on the same side that is damaged also. I found on the bottom of the slide a burr sticking out of a hole below the extractor causing the groove. I stoned off the burr. I have noticed that the extractor is hitting in the spot on the frame where it appears that a piece is missing, when the slide is pulled all the way back. Is this normal for the extractor on the P32? Also, is the Kel Tec quality control really that good if a pistol passed thru inspection with a burr causing a sharp grove in the frame?

Not trying to flame KelTec, I happen to have a P40 that I like. I am just concerned about what I saw on my NEW p32. Thanks for any replies

I have quietly enjoyed this site for the past year or so and finally decided to be a contributing part of it.

As an owner of a Kel-tec p3at for the past three years, and a Kel-tec plr16 for the past two months or so, I would encourage you to check out ktog.org for any questions or concerns you may have about your p32.

I have found them extremely helpful regarding kel-tec products.

In addition to my two Kel-tecs, I also own (and shoot):
S&W model 60 38spl
Beretta Neos
Ruger 10/22 carbine
Mosine-Nagant M44, and
a 50 year old J.C. Higgins pump action 12ga Shot Gun

I look forward to 'getting to know" and learning from all of you.

Peace and blessings,
Laib Yechiel

I had the same problem with my new P32. The trigger also broke after about 100 rounds so it's on its way to KT to be fixed.

I'll let you know how it turns out when it comes back.

I have a first gen P32 and did need to do some fluff and buff but nothing major. It is my always carry gun.

You did the right thing by stoning of the burr and by all means check out Ktog.org for more info. Lube up and try the gun out. If you have problems just give them a call. They have great service just like S&W. Note: I like my 40VE.
