Last year, I bought a used, well worn, 1st gen. P32 . A month ago, I began having a problem with the trigger. The gun was sent to KT for repair. What came back, was a new 2nd gen. P32. It appears, they stamped the new frame with my original serial number. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but I just wanted to acknowledge Kel- Tec for their great customer service. :)

I bought a 2G P3AT from a friend who had problems with it. After perusing the Kel-Tec forums, I found everything I needed to get it running right. I called CS for a replacement ejector, and had it in hand three days later - no charge, no questions asked. Their CS is top notch.

Sit tight, though. The haters will be here soon...

You'll appreciate that good customer service when you have to keep sending back your slide because of peening around the guide rod hole. Or just wait till the spring pops out. I got rid of mine a long time ago. Best gun move I ever made. :barf:

Well 75% of the people on this thread so far are very happy with their KelTecs. Had my P32 for years now, carry it almost every day. After a couple of early glitches I now have over 1000 trouble-free rounds through it. It goes BANG every time I take it out to "recycle" my carry ammo.

I'm sure it does. Mine was quite reliable too with the right ammo (Golden Sabers). I just got tired of my guide rod hole peening. Not sure if its an issue with the P32, but certainly is with the P3AT. I suggest anyone with a P3AT keeping an eye on that guide rod hole. From the KTOG forum:

I had to take advantage of KT's customer service once with my 1st gen P3 when the mag release wore down. My P32, PF-9 and both PLR-16's have had zero problems.

Good company, good product.

Still waiting for an RFB, though...........tick, tock, tick, tock:cuss:

KT has excellent customer service. I have 2 P3ATs and I managed to lose the little ejector insert on one....called them to order 2, wanted 2 so I'd have a spare if it happened again. They sent them to me free:D

Wow, Sig228!
That's what I call a serious problem. No, the P32 doesn't share that design feature or problem. I'm glad I didn't "upgrade".

The problem with the hole peening was with a certain lot of slides. The problem has been corrected and if you still have one they will replace with without comment.

The peening problem is old and there are fixes for it. My son had the problem sent it in replaced for free. If you are really concerned a small nylon washer can be used as a buffer
lloveless

I put in a small steel washer that just fit the rod to spread the load as soon as I read of the issue.

Problem prevented - no Big deal.

sig 228: I had two kt in a row shoot the recoil springs out the front of the slide..

Just the fact boys, just the facts.

I must've gotten all the good KTs. All 4 of mine have had no problems (an early P-32, 2nd gen P-3AT, P-11, PF-9). I've only used their CS for ordering mags and accessories. But it's nice to know they stand behind their guns if there ever is a problem.

No peening problems

I have 4 P3at's in my family.....many, many rounds fired. I personally keep an eye on all of them, and I have had no problems with slides peening......actually no problems at all.....I just have to keep the guns well lubricated to keep them functioning.

Although I wanted a P3AT I finally decided to get the P32 because it seemed relatively free of quirks the P3AT was said to have. I had only one problem: I dropped an empty P32 in the house and it landed on the plastic floorplate and broke out the floorplate. The store I bought it from gave me a new mag the next day. looked for a mag with a metal floorplate but never saw one.
