if this has been asked before I apologize for not finding it, does anyone know of a su16a,b,c,ca(5.56)/keltec 2k(.40/9mm) rifle that has that type of compactness, especially like the 2000?

no .22

ive just been looking and looking and cant seem to find one that when folded is under 25" with a 16" barrel

Welcome to The High Road, typo441 :)

I don't know of a carbine that is chambered in the calibers mentioned which is foldable, other than the Kel-Tec Sub2K.

You could put a Law folding stock adapter on a pistol-caliber AR-15.

When you fold and collapse the stock on a 16"-barrelled AR, you should be in the neighborhood of ~26" (I believe you need to remain over this or you have an SBR, since the AR could fire one shot while still folded).

It won't be as small and light as a Sub-2000 (and it certainly won't be as cheap), but it will likely be a better rifle overall.

The Sub2K is the only folder I know that is very lightweight in PCC. As others have mentioned, you could find one in 5.56 if you look at aftermarket stocks. Another option may be a bullpup design like the FN PS90 or FS2000, or Tavor. These are not folders, per se, but they may be close to the overall length you're looking for (especially the PS90, which is quite small, but that is chambered in 5.7).

The Sig 556 folds. I have two of them. Just measured the 556 SWAT and it is 26" folded.

I also have a PS90 and it measures 26.5". Of course they are totally different rifles but the PS90 is hard to beat in a small package that brings 51 rounds before the first reload.

The Tavor with 16" barrel is 26 1/8th inches long. The Tavor with 18" barrel is 27 5/8th inches long. Why buy a 26" rifle with folding stock when you can get one without folding stock ready for action in .223/.556.
