Medic Guns - For years I have heard that you don't count the first 100-200 rounds on any semi. Use FMJ and it will polish the ramp and operation will smooth things in the innards. After that, shoot what you plan to carry until you get 200 rounds without any kind of failure. (That eliminates the expensive exotics for me.) The Fluff-n-Buff is just a fast way for someone with the right skills to take care of the rough spots that the 100-200 rounds of FMJ will probably smooth out. A real craftsman will do a better job, but someone like me might even damage the gun by doing the f&b.

However you approach it, I would not carry a gun that was not 100% reliable. Remembering to "tap" the slide when you have a problem in the middle of a gunfight could be quite disconcerting, to say the least.
