Kerry for President Yard Sign

After seeing these all over here in Ohio littering yards after the election, I finally found a good use for them.

You see, the metal frame around the plastic sign makes a great target holder for my 200yd NRA High Power target centers.

I shot a match today. They had one novelty stage where you do a little pistol shooting. You have your handgun loaded with 7 rounds and fire two shots from the hip at a steel plate covered with a sign that read "Teamsters for Kerry". They you finish off the mag on a Texas star.

Gee. I'm not that creative.

I just grabbed the nearest Kerry for Prez sign (or Bush) and did some close up work with the 12ga...close, meaning 6" or less.

The muzzle blast made short work of everything in front of it...I even lit one on fire.

SFAIK, a psychological evaluation of such behavior would determine that it is better to exercise one's hostility against a symbol, rather than the thing represented by the symbol.

IOW, a harmless exercise, and a rational behavior.

Yup. And those ol' signs recycle easier if you pre-shred them a little, too.

A very creative idea. Why not turn what would otherwise go to the landfill into something useful. Hope it lasts for awhile. Get enough with the Kerry signs still in them and I think you could make a decent profit on E Bay. Sell or consume. That's what freedom i s all about.
