I've been monitoring this one, to see if it's going to go anywhere, and it appears that is is.

It appears that John Kerry, as a member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, attended a VVAW meeting in which the assassination of several pro-war elected officials, including Senators John Stennis, John Tower, and Strom Thurmond was discussed.

It seems that Kerry argued against, and resigned the VVAW as a result of it, but subsequently kept his mouth shut on the issue, and recently denied he was present at the meeting.

Apparently, FBI Surveillance and a transcript of the meeting are showing him to be a liar, and the media is keeping their mouth shut about the whole thing.

Keep an eye on this one, folks, and don't let it die.

The FACTS MUST COME OUT.

We need a positive outcome on this, and not just a media whitewash followed by a short trip down the memory hole.

Either Kerry must be fully and completely exhonerated of the charges of participating in the meeting and subsequently keeping his mouth shut, or he should resign from the race, the Senate, and public life in disgrace.

There's already a million reasons why Kerry should be denied access to the Oval Office, but these charges must be answered to the complete satisfaction of a skeptical American public.

<b>Under No Circumstances Should He Be Elected.</b>

Furthermore, we will need to examine the role of the media's complicity in this, in detail. If the supposedly "free and unbiased" <s>yeah right</s> press can be credibly shown to be complicit, heads should figuratively roll. A great heaping lot of them.

If Kerry resigned his position because of this meeting, I commend him for that. However, not reporting potential threats against senators is disgraceful. This, along with his self confessed war crimes, is just another reason that he is unfit to be President.

Here's what's in the mainstream media: :barf:

It is almost surreal to learn the extent to which I was followed by the FBI," Kerry said in a written statement to CNN Monday.

Notice the spin. The title of the story implies Kerry was being wronged by the FBI and the FBI should be ashamed. Only buried deep within the article is the truth.

The organization's minutes record that Kerry and three other fellow moderates "resigned" their posts.

But before that gathering adjourned, there was some discussion about the idea of assassinating American leaders who voted to prolong the war, said Nicosia and three veterans who attended the gathering.

Now, I'm no fan of government wiretapping or anything, but when you march on Washington under NVA and VC flags, of course the FBI is going to look into your activities. And when you are the prominent fixture of a group like this, like Kerry was, of course they will spy on you.

Dear God: Please, please, please don't let Kerry get into the White House...:barf:

I heard that Kerry said he resigned BEFORE this meeting occurred and only changed his tune AFTER the FBI evidence to the contrary was made available.
Kerry claimed he couldn't recall if he was present, but he then resigned in disgust. How do you not recall plotting assassination?

He's UNFIT to be Commander-in-Chief

John Kerry wrapping himself in the flag and claiming to be what he is not is a shameful disgrace to all of us who have served our country with honor and to all who will serve after us.

I am voting for Bush/Cheney -- and I still wish Cheney was on the top of the ticket.

Hey, El T
Let's be REAL careful here!
I don't speak lawyer, I don't date lawyers, I don't want anything to do with lawyers but at times it is unavoidable. My legal red flag is raised when I hear advice and the hair on the back of my neck bristles.

Your comment made my neck har bristle. How come?

The only thing funny I smell about the whole episode is the whiff of a rare brand of Arkansas perfume.
