I'll "See MicroBalrog's post", and raise you a clue. You brought up the subject of partisanship, so it is obvious that you probably know what it means, so we can cut to the chase.
A) The Demoratic party is anti-gun.
B) That there happens - from time to time - to be a pro-gun Demorat, is immaterial.
C) The reason has to do with how we organize/run our legislatures.
I'll let you fill in the blanks.

Maybe the tack to take (nautical, eh?) is a more extreme left rant.
Something so blatantly and specifically pro-communist that the D.U.ers either
reflexively jerk back to the right, or they take the bait and get sucked
into a whirlpool of substance-destitute Marxian thought. A guaranteed
laff-riot !
There were a couple times I posted quotes from D.U.ers on TFL that I found to
be hilarious references to rkba (D.U.ers: "but the right has all the guns -
how will our side win a civil war?"; me: "hey, some of them finally get it")
and I only figured out later that those D.U.ers were probably some of us acting
as disruptors, which I found even funnier. The disruptors who saw my
comments on TFL must have been howling with laughter.
Of course, the ultimate laugh was the hacker who hacked D.U. right
after the 2002 elections so that when anything on the site was clicked on, a
message popped up "all your senate are belong to us".

... But wouldn't you guys get just a bit P'O'ed if some Feinstein fanwank came over here and repeatedly joined just to troll THR?
I mean, sure they're all a bunch of sheeple, but you're probably not going to change anyone's mind about ANYTHING over there, especially given the behaviour of the admins. Truth be told, that could start to look pretty bad on us if they figure out just where the trolling is coming from.

All I did was talked about how I thought at first DU meant "ducks unlimited"
I made a comment on another thread about a guy trying to lose weight how I was (fictionally) overweight and thought I needed government assistance, and how if we lowered health care costs by fighting obesity we could use the savings to spend it on other gov. "entitlement" programs
Oh, yeah, I went to other threads and posted " But it's for the children!" or variations thereof, no matter what the subject matter.
I've always wondered what it felt like to troll, it's actually kind of Fun!

I see your point about not trolling over on DU because of the riff-raff coming over here.
However, we would all band together and convert the riff-raff over here, or completely overwhelm the person(s) with so much logic and reasoning that they simply gave up or converted. I personally think it would be really cool to convert them and send them out to be missionaries of the Truth About Guns.
