Kieslers Police Trades Advice Requested

Okay guys..I dealt with CDNN on some Sig stuff and it didn't work out. Now I see in Shotgun News Keislers has the S&W 5943 in 9mm for $250 in Very Good condition.

CDNN has 4043's in 40 S&W for $250 in VG condition.

My question is:

1.) Has anyone here dealt with Keislers before and how was it?

2.) Should I just get a .40 from CDNN, after all, if you don't like it, you can send it back. Keisler's said I can send it back too if I don't accept possesion from the dealer upon it's arrival. (Downside to CDNN is I have to pay tax since I'm in Texas, essentially making it a $300.00 gun.)

The purpose of this gun is to lock in my truck and leave it there. I'm always having to pack a gun back and forth to work and generally have been leaving my precious and hard to find Sig 225 in the glove box. So, what I'm thinking is just have a glovebox gun that wouldn't kill me to lose.

I actually like the S&W DAO trigger a lot, and I like the idea of a 17 round Mec-Gar mag for the 9mm vs a 11 or 12 round .40 S&W.

What would you recommend.

P.S. I'm pretty much set on a S&W auto (I dig their DAO) and I really don't want to spend more than $300.00.

Well, hopefully not. But if the wrong perp breaks into your vechile, they
might decide differently.

Leaving a weapon in a locked vechile is a unwise decision. Unless of course,
you have full 24/7 view of the vechile with a BUG in your pocket.

Well, the circumstances be as they may....the gun would be in a secured garage, in a building not accessable to the public, locked in a truck with an alarm and nobody knows it's there in the first place. Being that these are the circumstaces, combined with CCTV systems, the probability that anything will be stolen is low, due to the fact you most certainly will be caught. However, crap happens, as everyone knows....and should it happen, I'd rather not lose one of my Sigs.

Also, I am getting a First Aid bag, a trauma kit kind of like an EMT bag as well as a bag with a couple clean pairs of clothes etc. There have been circumstances at my job where you are not allowed to leave for up to 3 days...It might be nice to throw an extra pistol in one of those as well.

All that being said, I just don't have a "beater" pistol. I'd like to get one though.

I am looking into buying one of the used S&W's out there also. Seems like they are the best value on the market right now. Looking for one in 9mm though. Was thinking of getting a 5906 from CDNN or seeing if I can't find someone who is selling them locally at those discounted prices.
