I got a few hundred of the .458 300g HP for the 45-70. They spec out fine and after using up 50 for load dev I should wind up with 7 boxes of hunting ammo. That'll last a loooong time and make for some very dead deer and pig all at about $7.50 a box my cost. Nice deal.

I just bought 10 boxes of 150 grain 7mm flat-base spire point bullets for $116. 1000 Core-Lokts would have set me back $188. That's a savings of $62!

I'll be set for the next few years

w00t! Mine came today: 3k x39 123gr SP and 2k 9mm 124gr JHPs. Yes, the blue boxes are awesome, but, I don't know what I'll do with them when I'm done. I mic'd and weighed both and both seem to be true to their descriptions. The jackets look... spotty? Grainy? Kinda like someone sneezed on them. Wouldn't surprise me if they tumble back to 'perfection.'

The JHPs look like XTPs without the score lines XTPs have for expansion. I'm not sure if that makes these HAP bullets or not; I couldn't find HAP on Hornady's website as loaded ammo or components. But they are open tip (exposed lead), jacketed base.

I'm happy.

I miss reading this forum for just a few silly days, and now look at me. Bereft. They currently only have 15 matches for the "blemish" search, none of which are of interest to me. Waahhhh..

I just received my order yesterday. I opened up one of every kind of bullet and weighted several bullets at random. What I saw impressed me very much. All the bullets were within a half grain if not .1 or .2 grains. Only a handful of the bullets I looked at looked slightly spotted or discolored. I will definitely look out for this same sale next year if they do it.

Does anybody know who the manufacturer is? Called Midway, and the CSR said that to sell the bullets at that price, they weren't allowed to tell me who the manf. was.

My pistol bullets look strongly like Hornady XTPs.

I got some 10mm 200jhp's, and compared with XTPs I had on hand. Exactly the same. They're XTPs.
