Dear Dewalt
I am going to do something very similar to my kimber. how does the finish on the stainless steel kimber parts compare to the finish on the stainless steel wilson combat parts? are they a pretty close match? it seems from the picture that the wilson combat has a bit more of a polished look as opposed to more of a matte finish from kimbers parts. please let me know what you think as soon as you get a chance. thank you. Also were the kimber parts drop in or did you have to fit them? thank again.

I have three Kimbers, Tactical Custom .45, CDP Pro .45, Custom Pro 9 and they all shoot well with no issues. Wouldn't part with them.

Arce, The Kimber parts were drop in with the exception of the thumb safety which had to be fitted-this will be the case with any safety you choose.
The Kimber parts were direct replacements for my pistol. WC parts will generally require some fitting.
As far as finish goes, it depends on what you buy, some are matte, some high polished.
I intended to polish the Kimber parts, just never got to it.
