I somehow managed to bulge the barrel in my kimber custom target this morning, I'm not sure how it happened, I didn't experience any extra recoil that was noticeable. In any case has anyone sent work to kimber? I'm sure they will replace the barrel but at what cost and how long would it take? I'm thinking I may be better off getting a semi drop in and doing the work myself. (I've done everything else on a 1911 except a barrel). I have closly examined the slide and frame and I can't find any evidence if damage, I plan on finding a local smith to check the frame and slide anyways. Ah, lessons learned, always check your firearms before you use them!
