Kimber Custom Target

I recently received a used Kimber Custom Target 1911.

Aside from a loose extractor, it shoots better than I do.

Does anybody have any experience with these.

Does the pistol have any weak points that need to be fixed.

I had some feed problems. A friend says I may need to tweak the extractor and try some new mags.

Does anyone have any other advise?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just shoot the gun for a while and then decide if you want to change anything.

I would try different mags before I changed anything else. I've had 4 Kimbers, 3 of which are still with me and they have been very reliable and solid. I only had trouble with one gun and it was entirely related to one particular magazine. Once I figured this out it has been clear sailing.

How is the extractor loose? Does it slide forward and backward in the channel or just wiggle where it is?

It doesn't hold a cartridge when inserted under the extractor.

It is a test a friend showed me.

I am no expert when it comes to 1911's.
