I still haven't seen any of these jokers in the wild, or hear much about them anywhere. Did they actually deliver? Does anybody here have one?

I haven't and I've been looking out for one.
I just hope they expand the line to include a 3" with a hammer.

Or S&W brings out a snub version of their new M66 so I can retire my snub 19-5 and stock it with some 125 grainers.

There's definitely a gap in the market for all steel 6 shot carryable revolvers I think.

Nothing has arrived in these parts beyond word of the price--which is rather high, which may be why the guns themselves have not been seen hereabouts. I would suppose the dealers are hesitant. They might end up with something that sits on the shelf for a long time.

$899 msrp translates to 750?ish. Kimbers generally start a couple hundred over something like a ruger so the price doesn't seem too out of line.

Nothing here yet either. Wow, that is a little steep. I was hoping Kimber would bring it in at a lower base to try and grab some market share. I guess doing that would be below them. Too bad, I like the looks of the revolver and was curious as to how it shoots. I probably won't be finding out any time soon.

I was hoping it would jumpstart the market for 6 shot snubs. It would need to have a really good trigger for me to consider dropping $700+ though.

I'm think the 327 federal mag jump started that market a few years back. Trying to find a LCR or SP101 in 327 has been tough and they bring a premium over their 38/357 counter parts.

Yes, that's unfortunate. I'm a big fan of 32 H&R and 327 mag revolvers. It's a good caliber match for small concealed carry snubs.

I also would like to see the 327 mag, make a comeback. It was hot for about an hour about 5 years ago, then just died. There aren't enough revolver shooters amoung the younger folks. They all want hi-cap pistols or mini 9's and 380's.

Agreed, and to add, those guns have extreme potential in longer barrels. Even 32 long gets a bit peppy out of a longer barrel, but put a 32 mag or 327 into a k or L frame with a 4"+ and you have a whole lot of under-rated power. Put it into a contender barrel and you should really awaken the beast...but George Burns pretty much said it, if it's not a wonder-nine or tactical polymer gizmo the majority of the young crowd doesn't care. Sadly the majority of the older crowd just accept it and follow the younger crowds trends. Us wheel gun guys are rare these days.

I'm not ready to write off the snubnose revolver market yet. Smith, Ruger, Taurus, Charter, Armscor and probably others are still in the fray. I doubt there are enough old folks to support all that market activity, especially when I consider that a lot of us already have guns of the sort. :scrutiny:

I don't think the 38 special revolver is dying anytime soon. It is occupying a much smaller section of the gun case in stores though.

Unless you're counting 44mag, Smith and Wesson no longer makes any six shot snubs.

I've been waiting for them to release a snub M66 ever since they revised/revived it a few years ago. I'd even spring for a PC version if it was my only option.

I think Ruger makes a short barrel option of their GP-100, but since I consider an L frame a little too big for carry, the GP-100 is right out.

I think the only 6 shot snub options are the Charter Police Undercover, Armscor 206, or the LCR in 327.

Davidson's has the 327 LCRs in stock, at the same price of the 357 version.
