Looking to by a gun for competition shooting. Never really shot comp. before is this a good buy.

It is a great gun. I have a 4". Shoots great! I can't hit anything with it but that's my fault.

The SIS Custom RL is a fine gun, if you need (or anticipate needing) the light rail. If you do not need the light fixture, the SIS Custom would be a very good choice.

The non RL will be MUCH easier to find a holster for.
