Kimber SIS Pro

Want to hear feed back on the SIS Pro model please. I am considering one for CCW and before I drop a cent, I just wanted to hear if the folks here like this model and what they have to say abou it.

How many rounds do you have thru yours, and whats your favorite range and SD load? Anything to change or upgrade upon taking ownership of a SIS Pro? This model doesn't have the Schwartz safety yet I don't hear praise about this fact- unless your in California and stuck with the Type 2 safety variation.

A good friend of mine bought the fullsize SIS Kimber last week. I had the chance to put 100rnds through it over the weekend and it was very nice. Accurate, great trigger, and worked 100% with 50rnds of American Eagel FMJ and 50rnds of Federal Hydrashok. He has right round 600rnds through it after that day and still no problems. I'm not a 1911 fan, but it was very nice. He paid around $1100 out the door for it if I remember correctly. I'm not sure about the Pro version but the model seems a sound performer from everything I've read.
