In Guns Magazine's Combat 2003 Annual, page 85, there is a pic of the new HK G36c. It's a very nice looking weapon that I'll never be able to afford, but what caught my eye is the folder just under the foregrip.
With an aluminum (?) bolster and micarta slab, you get an attractive handle to match the interesting lines of the blade. Unfortunately, the knife is folded and all you can see is the hexagonal thumb-hole (ala spyderco) and a sharpened back edge.
As no top-strap lock is evident, we have to assume it is a liner-lock folder. The only other identifier is the hard-to-see cartouche just forward of the thumbhole. It appears to be a knight's helm over a crossed battle axe and broadsword, lying on a shield.
Anyone know the maker? Quality? Where can I get one?
