Every so often, I cruise eBay to see what's out there.
Today, I stumbled on this:
RARE Large Camillus Lockback Pocket Knife w/ Sheath MIB
There's about 3 hours left on that auction.
It compares favorably with the Buck 110 Folding Hunter, but is (far as I know) long out of production. The current auction price of $34 is well below the actual worth of the knife. If it rolled off the production line today, $40 to $50 would be a fair retail price, classed with the Buck.
Camillus has always made good stuff.
Sadly, I can't get it myself right now, so I figured I'd mention it here and give any interested THR guys a shot.
Oh, additionally . . .
There's also a Case XX Hammerhead (same size class) out there in the same price range, also closing in about 3 hours. You can see it here. Of course it's not all rare and stuff, but it is US-made and a very serviceable hunting knife.
I have all the hunting knifes I'm ever likely to need. Or that my kids and their kids are ever likely to need. A little later on today, I'll post some pics of the fistful of Buck knives that I got signed yesterday. Yeah, signed. By Chuck Buck and C.J. Buck.
No, I'm not a knife junkie. I can quit any time I want. Really.
