You have to join the organization that keeps the Huey flying. if i remember correctly it was a 100.00 a membership. We go every fall and missd out last October, going to late in the day.
Their landing pad is usually off to the left of the ticket huts, just before the RV parking lot. My SIL was hot to go for a ride last fall. Its become a yearly pilgramage for me. I love Kentucky, compared to the Chitown subs its a different planet.
Well like the old timers used to say when I was growing up: "If you can't shoot machine guns from a helicopter, you can still shoot them on the ground!"
In my old home back across the river, I don't live too far from Knob Creek. I will have to go there at least one time before I die. If I can put just one magazine through an HK G3, I'll be able to die with a smile on my face. My life would be complete!!
Heck I can remember being paid to ride in one Years back. Huey was nice But that little Bird dog was a lot more fun Tossing smoke out back window to mark targets Gun runs with a M-1 carbine Those were the days my friend . Thought they never end.
