Was searching the web and came across this crazy little weapon. It is chambered for 8MM. Thought it was interesting and wanted to share. Why dont they make cool things like this anymore? I would carry a modern version of this badboy anyday.

My limited understanding is that the "knuckelduster" (IIRC that is the "Apache") did not work well and was now well recieved by most.

Seen that before, in one place it was called the "triple threat". Probably meaning 3 ways to harm yourself.

I had one years ago as part of my curosia collection....very cheaply made and very hard to use in any config...total gadget.

Yeah I figured its probably a better beating device than anything. I just wish they made stuff like this still.

Why are there 4 finger holes - shouldn't there be 3?

Why are they contoured in the wrong direction?

What an abysmal piece of junk...

I think you might be the one who is contoured in the wrong direction. Take another look at it perhaps you will get it.

Knuckles seem to be making a comeback, at least in my area. I have taken a couple off the street recently.

That thing is just crazy, but it seems no more than a gimic to me.

I've always wondered how it shoots, is there a bit of rifling at the front of the cylinder? Would it even be accurate or have any worthwhile energy?

Seems to me that bullets would just fall out the front of the cylinder without any sort of barrel to contain and create muzzle energy.

That looks like a sweet letter opener to have on one's desk at home!

The main problem is as stated the quality...the blade is poorly attached for example.

Its hard to tell in the above pic but they are a small item and their were about 5 types.

I think the french gangs used them because they have a intimadating look to them.

As far as the cylinder its has no rifleing but these type weapons did work for their bad breth type distance.

The "reid my friend" I had years ago in .22 did work well and was about like a .22lr naa in velocity.

The reid also was a effective weapon and was well know among "gamblers" as a knuckle and a firearm. The reid is a much better design.

For what its worth one of the old west gun slingers, and right now I can't recall the name but it was one of the "famous" ones was noted for carring a revolver with no barrel. Lighting fast in clearing leather and deadly within a couple of yards.
I seen this in a museam in TX about 25 years ago.
