So I went ahead and bought a KRG X-ray Chassis for my Tikka T3 varmint in .308 win as an early birthday present. I bought it in the UK through March scopes UK (big thanks to Gary) and got next day delivery free of charge! I'll go over my thoughts on the stock below and I've added some pics too.

Fitting was very straight forward as the instructions were detailed enough for the job. I've torqued the action screws to 40 in lb after applying grease to them, this is mentioned in the instructions.

Harris bipod fits great, sling swivel is included and there's also a small recess to allow the bipod to fit neatly against the stock.

Fortunately I did not have to adjust the length of pull as it was perfect and the limbsaver recoil pad feels great. The cheek riser is easy to operate and did not require any changes with my scope setup (vortex viper pst FFP 30mm with low rings on EGW 20moa rail). The bad part is that the cheek piece needs to be removed to remove the bolt, however this only requires loosening of a thumb screw so it only takes a few seconds.

Bottom metal is included and allows you to use AI magazines (which I'm waiting for), the plastic forend can be adjusted slightly to allow the magazines to have a snug fit. Also included are two small rails for the rear monopod and I guess the underside of the forend. I've not installed these as I have the bipod fitted to the sling mount and I'll be using the rear hook which is fitted as standard. The free float is very generous even on the varmint taper barrel.

Pistol grip feels good, there is also a vertical thumb rest if you don't like to wrap your thumb around. Mag release is in front of trigger guard and is activated by pushing forward with your trigger finger (or left thumb while gripping and pulling mag).

Overall I am very pleased with this stock, it feels nice and solid. It's the first aftermarket stock I've bought and it's a big improvement over the standard stock. I will give an update once I've got around to shooting it, ask any questions in the meantime.

Please excuse typos, was written on my smartphone (which ain't so smart).

very cool! i liked their older whiskey3 and have heard a lot of good things about this one.

Me too, but then I found this stock on their website and the price was better suited for me. The x ray is priced at $599 and the W3 is $939. The UK importers (after taking some profit of course) made the W3 too expensive for me as the x ray cost almost $850.

i think that's because the w3 is so adjustable in 40 different ways where this one seems a bit more fixed

You're absolutely right, you get more bang for your buck with the W3. I would've bought it if I could afford it. Still, this doesn't make the x ray a bad stock my any means.
