Unfortunately, The new bluetooth app will not work on my older iPhone. It requires iOS 14.5 or newer.

Sorry about your apple problem. I am running mine on an old Android tablet. Maybe you could pick up a cheep tablet just for your LabRadar.

Good suggestion. I may look into that option.
I never really used the previous app on my iPhone. I have found just using the Labradar's screens without the app to be fairly user friendly.

I get as far as data transmission in progress on my tablet and then it times out and says failed. It's in known memory mode if that makes a difference. Says it's paired on my bluetooth settings page.

Did you install the latest firmware update in the LabRadar unit?

You need to "un-pair" (disconnect) from your mobile device and let the LabRadar app do the connecting. If that still doesn't work, then clear all of your bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try again. That is what I had to do on my Android tablet.

I had a break in the weather that let me try the new firmware and app.
I loaded V 1.2.7, and the app shows 2.4.1 on iPadOS 15.1. The app update was from the App Store, and it overwrote the old app version. It appears they basically threw away the prototype (old app) and have a completely different user interface now. With the LabRadar powered on, the app connected without issue, and remained connected through the session, about 10 minutes. While I didn’t see any unexpected disconnect, it wasn’t a lot of time but it does seem promising.

iPadOS15.1 is obsolete, the current version is 15.3.1. I wonder if this newest Apple version will work as well…Apple has a way of changing just enough in new iOS to make life tough for 3rd party software.

.

You guys must have apple products. I am still waiting for the release of the Android app,

I installed the new firmware hoping it would fix the continuous "Communication Error" problem.. I tried to connect several times and all i got was Communication Error. Then I thought maybe if I clear the Bluetooth Cache. After that it would connect. This on again, off again communication problem with my tablet has been very frustrating.

Same boat here. My Pixel 3 doesnt have too many issue with the Bluetooth, but my buddies Samsung is awful. Hopefully they will get the update out for the other 75% of the world.

Ive seen one dig on the new app that F-Class John pointed out, arming the device is a pain now with the different screen you have to be on which doesnt allow you to see the velocities coming in as you shoot. I guess time will tell on that one.
