I've been wanting to buy this Lady Smith for a couple months now but the store just wouldn't move on the price. Well, today they moved, and so did I. It's a beauty I think, no-lock and a great trigger. Not sure if the action was worked but this one is sweet.

As far as the moniker "Lady Smith" goes I don't really care at this stage of the game, it's a darn nice little J-frame no matter what it's called.

Figured I'd share the joy, and a couple pictures with THR.

Supposedly the MSRP on the Ladysmith revolver line included some extra time so the final assembler could pay special attention to the trigger pull. What you have is what I'd expect.

Fine catch there. The name wouldn't bug me, either. I figure a "smith" is simply someone who is skilled in a field, right? Think "gunsmith", "goldsmith", etc..

Besides, that one will let you caress her anytime you want. I'd carry here 'round, too.

Don't let nobody call you a 'Girly Man' for owning a Ladysmith either!!!

They were the best of the best!

I'm still on the hunt for a Lady Smith 3913LS I can afford to buy!

What you have here is Laddie Smith a very desirable magnum J-frame. You can convert it to Lady Smith by adding hot pink rubber grips from Hogue.

You'll love it - guaranteed. Even though these guns aren't meant to be tack drivers...this one is. At 20 yards using SA, I could cover 5 shots with a dollar coin (an Eisenhower, not a Sacajawea). I acquired mine through some unfortunate circumstances, and planned to trade it off for something new, but after getting it out to the range...I couldn't help but keep the ol' gal.

FYI, I kind of like the moniker ;)

Nice. Congrats.

I like the LS series. I have a 3" M65, and the only thing better would be a 3" M65 LS.

Congratulations on a sweet little j frame.
I used to have one. In a moment of weakness I sold it to a friend of mine. I am still kicking myself over that one.
If anyone gives you grief over the name just load up five full house 357's for them, and let them try it out.
Always a hoot to shoot.

I remember one time a poster here was commenting on carrying a gun with the title of "lady smith" and his reply was something along the lines of this:

A silversmith is an expert at working with silver.
A gunsmith is an expert at working on guns.

You want to call me a ladysmith, be my guest.

Priceless 19-3Ben!

I have a Lady Smith 65-5 3" barrel in 357 mag. Back in Ca 25+ years ago I was teased by a bunch of deputies out on the 25 yd qualifications range. All teasing quit when we walked down to pull the targets and I covered 6 holes with a Kennedy half. Best handgun I have ever owned but too heavy for concealed carry.

I've got the 3" K-frame Ladysmith in .357 Magnum. Came from the factory with a trigger job. I popped off the rosewood grips, put on a pair of Crimson Trace, loaded with Buffalo Bore it is my EDC in the fall/winter. Nice gun you have, great purchase!
